I remember back in the early 80s I spent one of your birthday's with you, you were playing drums for Gary Moore, in Harrisburg Pennsylvania at a place called City Island. I think Gary was opening for a young Def Leppard but I was there for you. Gary stopped the set, told the crowd it was your birthday and they brought a cake on stage for you. I was amazed by your playing that day as I have been every day since. You ARE the consummate rock and roll drummer. You are the heart and soul of Deep Purple.
