Stop the presses! Deep Purple will be performing at The Sunflower Jam 2008- and they will be joined by special guest Jon Lord! This is the first time that Jon Lord has joined the band on stage in several years, and it will be amazing to see him and Don Airey share the keyboard duties for the night.
What is the Sunflower Jam, you ask? It is an evening of Rock'n'Roll unlike any other! Artists such as Robert Plant, Margot Buchanan, Paul Weller, (and yes) Roger Glover, Jon Lord, and Ian Paice have all come together in the past to support The Sam Buxton Sunflower Healing Trust. The Sam Buxton Sunflower Healing Trust is an exciting new charity that aims to provide integrated, supportive care for cancer patients in the U.K. The charity was created in 2006 and since then has supported thousands of cancer patients and their families.
