Like the Star Spangled Banner, only without the national fervor, "Smoke on the Water" gets folks up on their feet and roaring the chorus.
It's more of a feeling than a song.
On Thursday night, fans of classic rock 'n' roll braved threatening storm clouds over Musikfest's RiverPlace to hear Deep Purple belt out its signature tune and let their ears bleed.
