By Paul Sexton
Billboard

A double live CD of Deep Purple's orchestral concerts at London's Royal Albert Hall Sept. 25 and 26 will be released in the U.K. today by Eagle. "Deep Purple In Concert With The London Symphony Orchestra Conducted By Paul Mann" features classic Purple tracks, solo endeavors, and keyboard player Jon Lord's "Concerto For Group And Orchestra," which Deep Purple unveiled at the same venue almost 30 years to the day before last year's shows.

The new album is scheduled for a Feb. 8 U.S. release by Spitfire. The 1999 concert took place in aid of Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy and included a guest appearance by Ronnie James Dio, reprising his lead vocals on "Love Is All," from bassist Roger Glover's 1974 album "The Butterfly Ball."
